Summer Reading 2026!
Plant a Seed, Read at Tigard Public Library: June 1 - August 31
Stroll along on a Summer Reading journey! Everyone gets a free book just for signing up, then read or complete bonus activities throughout the summer. Kids and teens receive a second free book upon completion.
Summer Reading Community Goal
Each Summer Reading sign-up counts towards our community goal and helps earn prizes that benefit the entire library! Community prizes are generously funded by Friends of the Tigard Library.
At 2,000 Sign-Ups
- Our courtyard will receive a balancing set to build upon our outdoor play area!
- The Teen area will receive a plant cart and a variety of houseplants to care for!
At 4,000 Sign-Ups
- Two Citizen Science kits will be added to our Adult Library of Things!

This program is supported in part by the Ready to Read Grant program administered by the State Library of Oregon, and by Friends of the Tigard Library.
Tigard Public Library will be closed Friday, June 19 and Saturday, July 4. Online resources are available 24/7 at wccls.org.
