Donation Guidelines

You can support the library in many ways, either with monetary contributions, donations of materials, or as a volunteer. Get involved with Friends of the Tigard Library to help the library or support the library as a volunteer.

Beginning Saturday, May 2: Volunteers with Friends of the Tigard Library accept donations on Thursdays from noon to 2 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to noon. 

Donation procedures have changed:

• Donations are currently limited to four bags or boxes per visit.
• Items will be reviewed for acceptance.
• Volunteers will only accept books and puzzles in good condition.
• Donors will be asked to take away any unaccepted items.  
• Donors may be required to wait until the previous donors materials have been processed. 

We are unable to accept soiled, stained, torn, moldy, missing pieces,  or water-damaged items. We are unable to accept  DVDs, CDs, Blu-Rays,  games, encyclopedias, magazines, and/or book series (e.g. Time-Life series.) 

Donations to the Library, Friends of the Library, whether monetary or material, are tax-deductible.
