Councilor Jake Schlack was elected in the November 2024 general election to a four-year term on the Tigard City Council beginning in January 2025, after first being appointed to the Council in July 2024. He previously served three budget cycles on the Tigard Budget Committee from January 2022 to June 2024, including two terms as Chair.
Councilor Schlack’s priorities are strengthening core services, improving public safety, promoting fiscal responsibility, ensuring government accountability, and advancing economic development.
A lifelong Washington County Resident, Councilor Schlack grew up on Bull Mountain and in Raleigh Hills. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Portland State University and works in business intelligence and product analytics in the SaaS industry.
Councilor Schlack lives in Tigard’s River Terrace neighborhood with his partner, Erik, and previously resided in the Summerlake neighborhood.
