Heather Robbins has lived in Tigard with her husband and two boys since 2017. They moved here from southwest Florida to escape the heat and be closer to family. Since settling here, they've found a community they're thrilled to call home.
Heather is a physician associate (PA) at Adventist Health Portland. She works in general surgery taking care of patients with a variety of diagnoses. She's a member of the hospital Medical Executive Committee overseeing hospital policy and practitioners and is president-elect of the Oregon Society of Physician Associates (OSPA). Prior to working in healthcare, she was a technical writer, journalist and chemist.
She started her volunteering with the city as a member of the Tigard Audit Committee. Her other volunteer experiences include Scouts, THS Track, THS Band Boosters, and the Jr. League of Fort Myers. She is a firm believer in advocacy at the state and federal level and has worked to advance PA practice laws to ensure her neighbors and patients are able to access healthcare easily and fairly.
In her free time, she enjoys baking, creating recipes that she shares on her blog, traveling, and playing with her spoiled little dog, Arlo.
Councilor Robbins holds a B.S. in Chemistry from University of California, Irvine, an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University, and an M.M.S. in PA Studies from Nova Southeastern University.
