Tigard voters approved a new City Charter in May, 2024 which added two new council positions, for a total of six councilors, one mayor and one youth councilor.

The two new seats were on the November 2024 ballot along with three council seats due to expire in December. Elected to 4-year terms were Jeanette Shaw, Maureen Wolf and Jake Schlack. Faraz Ghoddusi and Heather Robbins were elected to two-year terms. All begin their terms on January 1, 2025.
