Our Virtual Doors are Open

As we continue to provide the services you have come to expect, we have made some changes to the way we operate as we work towards creating a healthier city.

Municipal Court

  • STATUS - Court counters are currently closed. Payments can be made by mail, online or placed in the locked city hall depository.
  • MODIFICATIONS - Hearings and arraignments are being held by phone and virtually.
  • HOURS - Municipal Court services are available by phone and email Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Utility Billing

  • STATUS - Payments can be made by mail, phone, online or placed in a City of Tigard drop box. Utility Billing counters are closed.
  • MODIFICATIONS - Assistance programs are available.

  • STATUS - Tigard Public Library will resume limited in-person services beginning Monday, April 26.
  • Monday-Thursday
    No-Contact Library Takeout: noon-2 p.m.
    In-Building Service: 2-6 p.m.

  • Friday-Saturday
    In-Building Service: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
    No-Contact Library Takeout: 2-5 p.m.

    Return Materials: The drive-up and walk-up book returns are available 24/7. Tigard Public Library is now overdue fine free.

Police Department 

  • STATUS – The building is closed.
  • MODIFICATIONSPolice reports can be submitted online. For records requests, tow releases, liquor licenses, alarm permits, general inquiries, and deliveries, staff is available by phone. Property releases are by appointment only.
    Records services are available Sun-Sat, 8 a.m.-11 p.m.

Parks and Restrooms

  • STATUS - All Tigard parks and playgrounds are open. Physical distancing and face coverings are required. Park shelter and facility reservations, including the Fanno Creek House, are closed until further notice. Limited sports with established partners are allowed per Oregon Health Authority Phase I guidance.
  • AMENITIES - Handsoap, running water (cold), hand dryers
  • HOURS - 6 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week (doors are programmed by timers)
  • MODIFICATIONS - High contact sport courts (ex. basketball), and shelter reservations remain closed.

Public Works

  • STATUS – Public Works counters are closed.

Permit Center

  • STATUS - Drop box in Permit Center Lobby is open; Permit Center counters are closed.
  • HOURS - Drop box services available Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
    Inspections will occur Mon-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    » Inspections will continue with staff working from their vehicles
    » Fee payments accepted online only. Permit staff will contact you with payment options.

  • MODIFICATIONS - We are under a hiring "chill" meaning not all current vacancies are being actively recruited.  Interviews are virtual for now, with final interviews in person using personal protective equipment (PPE).
