Visiting Cook Park: Bus & Walking Directions

Parking at Cook Family Park is limited.

• Event access is available by walking or biking along the park's connecting trails.
• TriMet Line 76 stops at Hall & Sattler and Durham & 76th
• Consider carpooling
• Limited free parking at park - consider parking on area streets between Cook Park and Tigard High on SW 92nd or SW 85th, or west of the park off the Cook Park Greenbelt

• Refer to map for in-park parking locations, including riverside parking by the dock/boat launch

• Increased onsite ADA parking available; ask the traffic controllers upon arrival or follow signage

• Free, secure bike valet (up to 50 bikes at one time)

For the first time ever, we’re thrilled to host a youth fútbol (soccer) tournament at El Tigre Fest, led by Club Venados, one of Tigard’s local Latino youth soccer teams.

Fútbol holds a deep cultural significance across Latin America—more than just a sport, it is a source of pride, unity, and community. From neighborhood matches to national tournaments, fútbol is a way many families come together, pass down tradition, and create lasting memories.

We are proud to welcome these young athletes to El Tigre Fest and invite you to cheer them on as they showcase their skills, teamwork, and spirit. Let’s celebrate the joy of the game and the power of community!

Meet Our Team: Alexis Tay
Club Venados USA | Tigard, Oregon

My name is Alexis Tay. I am proud to represent Club Venados USA, a nonprofit youth soccer team with deep roots in Guatemala and now based in Tigard, Oregon.

Club Venados was founded to support our local Latino community and promote youth wellness through sports. Thanks to generous sponsors and community supporters, we are able to offer tournament opportunities to children at a low cost, helping make sports accessible for more families.

We welcome boys and girls ages 9 to 15, and are committed to providing a positive, supportive, and team-oriented environment.

As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, we are supporting artists, business owners, restaurant owners, and other members Latino/Hispanic community.

Alex Villalobos is the artist behind the El Tigre logo, inspired by the "Pericos de Puebla" baseball team uniform from Mexico circa 1942. Our Tigard Tiger or “El Tigre” combines traditional Latino Folk Art and animal characteristics of “Alebrijes." Learn more about the history of Alebrijes in Oaxacan and Mexican culture in this video. 

Alex is a first-generation, Mexican-American artist from Long Beach, California. He creates digital art and mixed media pieces using repurposed materials. The colorful characters he constructs are inspired by Latino culture, music, film, and food. Click here to see Alex’s artwork and browse his catalog.
