• A phone number and email are required to submit a request. This is to ensure we can communicate and follow up with the requestor.
• The location of the issue you are reporting. An exact address is preferred but not required.
• Setting up an account is not required however it is recommended so community members can more easily track their requests.

If you are seeking request for information or other item not listed, please submit a general feedback form. If your request is similar to one on the existing list, please select that option and our team will review and route it to the correct team member.

Mobile Devices

Q: Can Tigard Service Requests be used on mobile devices (Tablets & Phones)?
A: Yes, mobile devices can be used; however, this portal is optimized for desktop use, and the user experience may not be ideal on mobile. It is recommended to use a desktop for the best interaction with the portal. -

Q: I’m using a mobile device, and the buttons are not accessible to move forward with the submission. What should I do?
A: While it is recommended to use a desktop device, there are a few steps you can try on a mobile device:

1.  iPhone, users have to switch between portrait and landscape modes to access all buttons and dropdowns. 
   • The Date First Observed calendar can only be opened in landscape mode.
   • The form can only be submitted in portrait mode.
2. Click outside of the displayed window to close it and proceed with your request.
3. If you're using an iPad, using the split-screen feature may enhance your experience within the portal.

A: Tyler Technologies recommends using Chrome or Edge for the best experience with Tigard Service Requests.

Q:  Will my Utility Billing Account credentials work for Tigard Service Requests?
A: Yes, if you already have a Utility Billing Account, you can use the same credentials for Tigard Service Requests. There is no need to create a new account.

Q: How do I know if I need to create an account?
A: If you are unsure if you have an account, you can request a password reset. If you do not receive an email to reset your password, its likely you do not have an account. Please create a new account to proceed.

Q: Why do I need to provide my contact information?
A: Providing your contact information ensures we can offer the best service. It allows us to reach out for additional information if needed and keep you updated on the status of your request. Your contact information will not be shared publicly and is only used for the purposes of processing your request.

Q: What if I don’t have an email address?
A: We strongly recommend creating an email address to stay informed about the status of your request.

Requests

Q: I submitted a concern/request but haven’t received any further communication. When can I expect to hear from the city?
A:  After submitting a concern through Tigard Service Requests, you will receive an initial email confirmation from the city. The city will then evaluate and process the request. A city staff member will reach out if additional information is needed. Once the request is closed, you will receive an email confirmation indicating that your request has been fully processed and closed.

Q: Where can I view old requests submitted in the Traffic Safety Portal?
A: Previously submitted requests in the Traffic Safety Portal can now be found and processed through the Tigard Service Request Portal. This ensures continuity and allows you to track and manage your past submissions seamlessly within the new system. **Note:** Requests submitted in the Traffic Safety Request Portal will not be linked to your registered user account. However, if you provided an email address in the initial submission, you will be notified when your request has been processed.

Map/Location(s):

Q:  Why can't I select a location by clicking on the map?
A: The map feature in the Tigard Service Request portal is designed to help you visualize previously submitted cases and provide additional context for your request. However, selecting a location directly on the map is not currently supported. Instead, you can use the address search tool to find and select the location of your report. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please let us know, and we'll be happy to help!

Q: What if I don’t know the location or can’t find it?
A: If you don't know the exact location or can't find it in the map viewer, you can use descriptive information to help us identify it. Please provide additional location details in the ‘Location Description’ field. Here are a few options: 1. Provide nearby landmarks or notable features. 2. Use intersection points if you know cross streets. 3. Include any additional details in the location description section to help us pinpoint the location. If none of the above can assist you in your submission, do not provide a specified location using the provided map. If you continue having difficulty, feel free to reach out, and we'll assist you in submitting your request.

Q: Why is the map showing locations outside of Tigard?
A: The map feature in the Tigard Service Request portal displays global locations due to a default setting managed by Tyler Technologies. To narrow down the view to your specific area, try entering a more precise address or location in the search bar.

Q:  When I search for the address in the map viewer and hit enter, why does it select an unrelated address?
A: When searching in the map viewer, a preview list of locations will display. If you do not select a specific location from the list and hit enter instead, the system will automatically select the first location on the list. To ensure the correct location is selected, it is recommended to choose the appropriate location from the displayed list.
