Project Description

This program will replacement 500 existing wood laminate streetlight poles that have reached the end of their service life. The streetlights will be replaced with new infrastructure and LED lighting. 

Timeline

June 2026 - Removal and replacement of the streetlights starts. 

Why It's Needed

The City of Tigard has approximately 500 wood laminate streetlight poles that are at the end of their service life and need to be replaced as our maintaining agency has put the city on notice that they can no longer provide maintenance services to lights attached to these poles. 

Operations and Maintenance Impact

This program will reduce the amount of maintenance needed as we are experiencing a rapid increase in the number of poles needing to be replaced as part of the annual operating budgets.
