Project Description

Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) is a trenchless rehabilitation process used to repair existing pipelines. This process involves a flexible resin type liner that is placed within the pipe. The liner is then cured with water or steam resulting in a jointless, tight fitting form, and corrosion resistant liner for the pipe. The liner will increase the structural integrity of the pipe which will greatly extend the pipe’s service life.

TIMELINE: FY24-

FUNDING SOURCES: Sanitary Sewer Fund, Storm Water Fund

WHY IT’S NEEDED: This process limits traffic disruptions compared to traditional dig and replace pipe repair methods which are also more expensive.

STRATEGIC PLAN TIE-IN: Advances our vision to become a walkable, healthy and accessible community for everyone.
