The library provides a wide range of programs for children of all ages. They help develop early literacy skills and promote lifelong reading. A variety of Storytime programs for infants through age six, monthly activities for elementary school students, the annual Summer Reading program and many other programs develop and encourage imagination.

Summer Reading: Plant a Seed, Read!

Stroll along on a Summer Reading journey! Get a free book at sign-up, then receive an exclusive button or sticker badge after completing your Summer Reading journey. Kids and teens also receive a second free book upon completion.

Each Summer Reading sign-up counts towards our community goal and helps earn prizes that benefit the entire library! Follow our summer reading mascot’s progress towards the community goal and prizes in the Library Lobby.

This program is supported in part by the Ready to Read Grant program administered by the State Library of Oregon, and by Friends of the Tigard Library.
