Plant a Seed, Read at Tigard Public Library: June 1 - August 31

Stroll along on a Summer Reading journey! Everyone gets a free book just for signing up, then read or complete bonus activities throughout the summer. Kids and teens receive a second free book upon completion.

Summer Reading Community Goal

Each Summer Reading sign-up counts towards our community goal and helps earn prizes that benefit the entire library! Community prizes are generously funded by Friends of the Tigard Library.

At 2,000 Sign-Ups

  • Our courtyard will receive a balancing set to build upon our outdoor play area!
  • The Teen area will receive a plant cart and a variety of houseplants to care for!

At 4,000 Sign-Ups

  • Two community science kits will be added to our Adult Library of Things!

Stroll along on a Summer Reading journey! Get a free book at sign-up, then receive an exclusive button or sticker badge after completing your Summer Reading journey. Kids and teens also receive a second free book upon completion.
