Movie in the Park: "Inside Out"

Cook Park (located near Durham & 92nd in Tigard)
Kick off Family Fest and join Tigard Parks & Rec at Cook Park for a free movie under the stars! We will be showing Disney’s "Inside Out." Bring a blanket and enjoy the show. Movie will begin at dusk.

Begin/End: Tigard TC Wes Station (off of Main Street and Commercial)

Washington County Bicycle Transportation Coalition has created this popular, free, family fun bike ride that visits several Tigard parks using low traffic streets and car-free trails. See parts of Tigard you may not have seen before and have fun riding with friends and family. Register online.

Run/walk with Tigard Parks & Rec and Tigard Basketball Association. The route starts at City Hall, winds through beautiful trails and ends downtown at the Street Fair! Get a taste of downtown life with vendors, entertainment, and food for all day excitement! Head to the Kid’s Zone to play basketball in a Hot Shots Tournament with Tigard Basketball Association. Street Fair organized by the Tigard Downtown Alliance. Learn more.

Tour of Latin America

Main Street Tigard
Join us downtown for the party — fiesta style. The Downtown Tigard Street Fair will feature the first ever "Tour of Latin America" including Latin food, dance performances, face painting for kids of all ages, dance competitions and so much more! Event organized by the Tigard Latino Volunteer Network.

Where:  8777 SW Burnham Street (Public Works Parking Lot located at the corner of Hall and Burnham)

The city's Recreation Resource Guide provides an online listing of places, events and public and private recreation providers in and around Tigard. With more than 70 listings, the guide contains something for all ages and interests—from sports to hobby classes, from library events to museum tours.

Scholarship Information

Tigard Parks & Rec will soon be launching a program to provide financial assistance for qualified participants. There will be limited amount of scholarships available to partially or fully cover the cost of a class, program, or event offered by the Recreation Program. Stay tuned for more information.

Summer 2016 Activity Guide

Summer's here and Tigard has activities galore! Take a look through the new Activity Guide which lists activities, events and summer camps through September. Highlights include movies in the park, swim lessons at the Tigard pool, the return of Family Fest and lots of other fun activities. If you’re looking to learn a new hobby, meet some new friends, develop your skills, get out of the house or just be entertained – we have something for you.

Meet Our StaffAnthony Markey, Rec Coordinator
Anthony Markey joined the City of Tigard as the Recreation Coordinator in December of 2015. He has worked in Recreation and Aquatics for over 20 years. He is also a Portland State University graduate with a double major in Health & Fitness Education and Community Health Education. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with his son, playing sports, concerts, going to Duck football games, Trailblazer games and watching Timbers games.
