Tuesday, August 5, 2008 is National Night Out!
This year, an expected 33 million people in more than 10,000 communities across America will
join forces on Tuesday, August 5th to promote police-community partnerships.
The Tigard Police Department invites you and your neighborhood to be a
part of this celebration of neighborhood unity and awareness to bring safety and reduced crime and violence to Tigard!
This year's event will mark the sixth National Night Out in Tigard. Tigard Police are making special efforts to ensure this year's
event is a success. Take a look at the special plans in store
for our community:

are working together to get the important message of safer neighborhoods out to you.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 2nd.
Join us for the National Night Out Kick-Off Event: A "Community Safety and Awareness Fair"
to be held at the Target Store on Hall Blvd. Between 11 AM and 1 PM, plan to visit
and take advantage of learning more about safety and awareness for you
and your family.

Pre-register your neighborhood event with the Tigard Police Department to get on our list for
neighborhood visits. Don't delay!

National Night Out is a way that Tigard can send a powerful
message about neighborhood unity, awareness, safety and also the strength and importance of
police-community
partnerships. With the assistance of Target, the message is carried even further to show how the business
sector truly has a stake in our community as well.
The Tigard Police appreciate and thank businesses that support efforts of crime reduction and public
safety in our community.
