General Requirements
There are some general requirements which should be considered before applying. Generally, you are not likely to be hired as a police officer if your driving record shows a pattern of unsafe or irresponsible traffic violations; your personal life illustrates a history of poor judgment including problematic credit or fiscal responsibility; or information obtained about you reveals elements of dishonesty, criminal aspects or recent involvement with illegal substances.
