Tigard Maps

Tigard Maps is an easy to use web-based tool for looking up commonly requested information such as property information, crimes, permits, hazards, aerial photos, utilities, and environmental information.

Entry into Tigard Maps is simple; enter an address or street intersection and Tigard Maps begins processing through various geographic data and City systems. If you don't have a full address, you can enter a partial address, such as a house number or street, and review a list of candidates that you can choose from.

Purpose of Tigard Maps
Tigard Maps brings to the public a new paradigm in consolidating information from multiple sources and different formats into one single map-based environment. Tigard Maps starts with an easy entry point: just type in an address or intersection and off you go through a tab-based mapping environment creating maps and reports maps on the fly.

Although the City maintains specialized systems for its many functions, such as issuing building permits, police, streets, utilities, and planning, having a place where it's accessible and presented in an easy to use environment has not been possible.

Realizing the public needed streamlined access to its wealth of information, the City embarked on a 2 year project to create a seamless city-wide Geographic Information System, or GIS, to integrate many of its business systems with something we all understand and read easily -- maps.

Maps communicate information much more quickly than traditional spreadsheets and reports. They also allow you to see patterns that might not be so visible in a chart or graph. Tigard Maps bundles a combination of reports, charts, and maps to give the community a comprehensive tool for looking up information.

What Data is available in Tigard Maps?
Tigard Maps provides the public with access to a range of public information. Information available in Tigard Maps includes:
