Key Bank Robbed-Suspect In Custody
An employee of Key Bank located at 11665 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard called 9-1-1 at 9:11 am on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 to report a robbery. Information relayed during the call indicated that a white male adult had presented a note to a bank employee demanding money. The caller also indicated that a gun was displayed. Tigard Police took the suspect into custody seventeen minutes later. Officers from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Beaverton and Hillsboro Police Departments assisted with the containment and apprehension of the suspect.

Police were immediately dispatched and converged near the bank and in the surrounding areas. A K-9 track was also initiated. Officers were quickly checking for the suspect who was last seen fleeing the bank on foot. Police officers located the suspect in the area of 71st and Spruce Street in Tigard. Although the clothing description did not match, it became apparent that the subject's physical appearance did.

Matthew Garrett Greer, DOB 111681 of Tigard, was arrested and charged with Bank Robbery. Greer will be lodged in the Multnomah County Jail awaiting arraignment.
