Search Warrant at Tigard Home Yields Six Arrests On December 1, 2010 at approximately 6:30 AM, a search warrant was executed at a Tigard residence located 7735 SW Gentle Woods Drive. The search warrant was carried out by the Tactical Negotiation Team (TNT) of the Washington County Sheriff's Office. The warrant came as a result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Westside Interagency Narcotics Team (WIN) along with the Tigard Police Department. Police used diversionary devices prior to making entry into the home. Once inside, six adults, 5 men and 1 woman were detained and taken into custody. One of the men charged, Jeremiah Weist DOB 121187, had a warrant while the other 5 were charged with possession of heroin. They include: Eric Leake DOB 030787, Alexander Miller DOB 051186, Brian Bankhead DOB 021588, Caitlin Crenshaw DOB 011186 and Alexander Leake DOB 061788 who in addition was charged with possession of MDMA (Exctasy). As a result of the search warrant, police confiscated heroin, Ecstasy, marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia and packaging items including scales. All six suspects were lodged in the Washington County Jail. Earlier this year, Tigard Police began to investigate reports from neighbors who suspected illegal activity at the location of today's search warrant. As a result, there has been a history of police related calls at the home including arrests. Tigard Police cannot overstate the importance of citizens reporting suspicious activity to police in efforts to maintain safe and healthy neighborhoods. |
