Storage Facility Burglarized-U-Haul Trucks Stolen
Tigard Police were called to the U-Haul Center located at 11552 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard just before midnight on May 16th. A customer returning a rental truck telephoned police after noticing some damage to the building and a key return box. The customer recalled observing a truck leaving the business when they drove into the parking lot.

Tigard Officers arrived within moments and began to gather evidence at the location. The manager for the business arrived and surveyed the damage and property loss. It was ultimately determined that two U-Haul vehicles were stolen. Information from the business indicates one of the stolen vehicles is a 2009 Ford Econoline with an Arizona license plate AD84862. The second vehicle reported stolen is a Ford Truck also with an Arizona license plate, AA33277. It appeared that a third vehicle, loaded with stolen property was left behind.

After further inspection of the property it appeared that 25 storage units were forcefully entered. Three additional storage units showed signs of attempted entry, but were not entered. Tigard Police began to notify the victims of the burglary throughout Monday morning. Victims continued to return calls to police and report their losses.

Tigard Police investigators are continuing the investigation. If anyone has information relating to the burglary or stolen U-Haul vehicles, they are urged to contact the Tigard Police Department at 503-639-6168.
