Couple Reports Being Robbed While In Their Vehicle
Tigard Police were dispatched to a scene of a reported robbery at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Monday. Tigard Police Officers arrived within minutes to a restaurant parking area located at 11477 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard. A couple reported being robbed by two men. Both victims alleged that soon after they got into their vehicle and while preparing to depart, two suspects entered into the backseat of their car.

One of the suspects took the seat-belt and wrapped it around the neck of the male victim who was seated in the front seat passenger area. While the suspect attempted to choke the victim, the female was forced to drive from the area. The woman drove a short time around the neighboring streets. One suspect was able to take a wallet from the male victim at which point the driver was told to stop. The two suspects then left the vehicle and fled on foot. Neither victims reported being injured.

The victims called 9-1-1 and returned back to the restaurant parking lot where the ordeal had begun. Police met the victims at that location and began an investigation. A K-9 track was conducted with negative results.

Tigard Police Detectives are continuing the investigation. Both suspects are described as in their 20s. Witness statements provided indicate the white male may possibly have a tattoo on the side of his face covering a large area. He was observed as heavyset and approximately 6 feet tall. The second suspect, possibly Hispanic, is also heavyset and approximately 5'7" tall.

If anyone has information which may be able to assist investigators, they are urged to contact Tigard Police at 503-718-2577.
