Fanno Creek Restoration Work In Progress

Clean Water Services began work on channel improvements along portions of Fanno Creek behind Tigard City Hall on Monday, July 27, 2009. CWS crews are responsible for performing and inspecting the work. They expect to complete the project by the end of August.

One section of the work will repair an eroding bank. The other area of work will prevent the channel from forming a cut-through, which would bypass the meandering portion of the creek. The preservation of the meander is important for stream length and channel slope.

Project signs have been placed at the entrances to the park with details about the project. Information and project updates are posted online at www.tigard-or.gov/fannocreek.
