Tigard Man Forces Female Tigard High Student Away From Campus - Later Arrested
Tigard Police arrested 19 year old Allen Jair Ozuna Monday morning, April 6th, after he allegedly abducted a former acquaintance, a fifteen year old Tigard High School student. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 am, just before the beginning of the school day. The victim was standing with a friend outside a classroom, when Ozuna approached them. Police reports indicate Ozuna attempted to talk with the victim, but she refused. Ozuna then took the victim by the arm and led her out of the school against her will. The friend of the victim immediately went to locate an advisor to alert them about the incident. School officials began to search for the student and determine her whereabouts. No other witnesses reported the incident to school staff or contacted police.

A resident in a nearby neighborhood called 9-1-1 shortly after 10:00 am to report she observed a young female who appeared to be in trouble and a young man who seemed to be causing her distress. The resident speculated the young girl was attempting to get away but the man prevented her escape. Tigard Police arrived within moments to find the pair still in the area. Police checked on the welfare of the young girl and immediately took the suspect into custody. The victim did not sustain any serious injuries.

Ozuna was transported and lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of Kidnapping II, Harassment and Criminal Trespass II.

Domestic violence is a very real threat for the safety and welfare of many individuals. Victims of domestic violence may contact the Domestic Violence Resource Center for assistance at 1-866-469-8600 or on the web at www.dvrc-or.org.
