The public comment period in the formulation of the 2009-2014 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is currently open. For the complete draft of the FY 2009-2014 CIP, visit the CIP page.

The five year CIP includes proposed improvements to city streets, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water, parks and other city facilities. This plan also includes projects associated with the Urban Renewal District. The draft project list for FY 2009-14 includes a multitude of projects with strong emphasis on improvements to the Tigard downtown area, identification of feasible solutions to traffic congestion on Highway 99W, continuation of an extensive street maintenance program, and purchase of land for open spaces and parks.

Come to a Public Meeting:

  • The Planning Commission will host an opportunity for public comment at its meeting on March 2, 2009.
  • Citizens will have further opportunities for comment in the process leading to adoption of the CIP projects for next fiscal year at the Budget Committee Hearing on April 27, 2009.
  • City Council will also conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 as part of the CIP adoption process.

  • If approved, the FY 2009-10 Capital Improvement Program becomes effective July 1, 2009.
