Home Robbery in Tigard Leads to Arrests
Tigard Police were called to a scene of a reported home invasion and robbery at approximately 12:15 am Wednesday morning, February 11, 2009. The caller stated a robbery occurred at the home located at 8775 SW Oak St. in Tigard. Further, that one of the suspects possessed a weapon. Police reports indicate that several males entered into the garage area of the home which had been converted to a sleeping area. The victim stated he raised the garage door after hearing a knock shortly after midnight. The suspects, unknown to the victim, entered the garage, made demands and took property. Another adult member of the house entered the sleeping area after hearing commotion which prompted the alleged perpetrators to leave abruptly. No one was injured in the ordeal.

Tigard Police were immediately on scene and in the area searching for suspects. Within minutes a Tigard Officer observed a vehicle with several occupants appearing to match preliminary suspect information provided by witnesses. More interest was directed to the vehicle after the driver did not take steps to yield to the Tigard Officer. Unable to elude the Officer any further, the vehicle came to a stop in the 11400 block of SW 91st Ave. in Tigard. Tigard Police took two occupants into custody at the scene, 20 year old Nathan Green of Tigard and a 16 year old juvenile. There were other occupants alleged to be involved in the robbery that fled from the vehicle. Tigard investigators are currently gathering evidence and other related accounts of the incident in efforts to locate everyone involved.

The two suspects in custody, one adult and one juvenile are waiting further processing. The adult will be transported and lodged at the Washington County Jail, while the Washington County Juvenile Department arranges further intake for the juvenile.

If anyone has information that could assist the investigation, they are asked to contact Tigard Police Detective Kary Duncan at 503-718-2547.
