On Tuesday evening at approximately 7:45 pm, Tigard Police were dispatched to an alarm call occurring at a Taco Bell restaurant in Tigard. Additional information provided to dispatchers stated a robbery had just occurred involving a suspect with a knife. The business is located at 13305 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard. Witness statements provided to police allege that a suspect, now known to be Lowry, entered the restaurant and made demands for money to an employee behind the register. At some point during the verbal confrontation with the employee, the suspect allegedly revealed he was carrying a knife. The suspect ultimately left the store without any money. Officers in the immediate area when the initial robbery call was broadcast, located a suspect matching the description provided by witnesses. The alleged suspect was ultimately detained and compliant after a brief verbal encounter in the parking lot of the restaurant. Tigard Police arrested 38 year old Marcus Alan Lowry of Tigard on charges of Robbery I and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Lowry was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was lodged. |
