An employee of the Tigard Homestead Studio Suites contacted 9-1-1 at approximately 7:25 am Thursday morning, January 1st to report a robbery. The extended stay hotel is located at 13009 SW 68th Parkway in Tigard.

The witness stated a lone man entered the office at about 7:20 am carrying a paper grocery bag. The suspect wore a black long sleeved shirt draped over his head revealing only the eye area. He demanded money and handed the employee his bag. The suspect fled on foot and police were immediately notified. A K9 track was conducted however no suspect was located.

The suspect is believed to be in his late 20's and approximately 5'10" tall and 200 pounds. The witness recalled the suspect was also wearing a blue sweatshirt at the time of the incident. Investigators are reviewing evidence.

If anyone has information regarding the incident, they are asked to contact Tigard Police Detective David Hockin at 503-718-2553. The same location reported a similar robbery last month on December 13th. No arrests were made stemming from that incident.
