An employee of Salvador's Bakery reported to police being robbed by a lone man Wednesday evening at about 7:30 pm. The business is located at 13185 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard. The bakery is one of several businesses including a convenience store and other typical operations in a small strip mall along 99W. The female employee stated that the suspect entered the store and walked directly to the area where the cash register is located. The suspect approached the employee, displayed a handgun and demanded money "quickly" from the register. There was another employee and several customers in the business at the time of the occurrence. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male approximately 20-25 years of age, approximately 5'6" and medium build. At the time of the robbery the suspect wore a white hoodie and a red bandana covering the bottom half of his face. He also wore a black hat and pants. The victim contacted 9-1-1 immediately after the suspect fled the store with money that was placed in a grey bank bag the suspect carried with him into the store. A K9 track was conducted with negative results. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Tigard Police Detective David Hockin at 503-718-2553. A photograph of the suspect obtained through surveillance cameras is available. |
