Tigard Man Robbed In His Home
On Tuesday evening, a Tigard man responded to an ad placed on "Craigs List" that brought two people to his home on SW Morning Hill Dr. in Tigard. A male and female arrived and were invited in sometime after 10:00 pm. A short time later, the male suspect began to assault the homeowner who was alone in the house when the couple arrived. The victim was beaten with a handgun the male had carried. The female also at some point assaulted the victim, who had prior been bound with tape and plastic ties.

The victim told police that after likely being incoherent for an unknown amount of time, he became aware the suspects were in the process of removing his truck from the garage. During this attempt, the victim attempted to thwart the theft, however was unsuccessful. The pair drove off in the truck. Later that night, Tigard Police located the stolen vehicle which had been abandoned in a field adjacent to Mary Woodward Elementary School in Tigard. Investigators are processing the vehicle for evidence.

During the ordeal the victim's cell phone was taken. Investigators are currently working with the victim to determine if any other items may have been stolen from the home.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Tigard Police is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Det. Kevin Dresser at 503-718-2576.
