Early Morning Crash In Tigard Claims Two Lives
UPDATE:
A man and a woman who perished in a single car motor vehicle crash early today in Tigard have been identified. Twenty one year old Nick Anderson of Beaverton died at the hospital and 22 year old Shimona Ruscioelli of Portland was pronounced dead at the scene of crash.

Investigators spent the day collecting evidence and measurements in efforts to determine the factors leading to the crash. The driver of the vehicle, 22 year old Cory Warwick of Tigard remains at OHSU. His condition is unknown.

ORIGINAL POST:
Tigard Police and the Washington County CART Team are investigating a crash that occurred at about 2:30 am today on SW 135th Ave and Brittany Dr. in Tigard. Excessive speed may have been the factor that caused the 1967 Camaro to leave the road and come to rest against a home at 13495 SW Brittany Dr. It appeared to investigators that the vehicle had flipped several times before it came to rest.

Three occupants were in the vehicle at the time. One man was transported from the scene and died at the hospital. Another passenger, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The third occupant was ejected from the vehicle as it flipped and amazingly was found on the roof of the home where the crash took place. TVF&R personnel made the discovery after arriving and checking the area. Rescue personnel safely removed the survivor from roof and arranged his transport to OHSU. His condition is unknown.

Police will be on the scene throughout most of the day conducting their investigation in efforts to determine the possible factors leading to this deadly crash. Chaplains assisting Tigard Police and TVF&R are presently working to notify family members of the persons involved and their identifying information will likely be forthcoming.
