Tigard City Councilor Elections - November 4, 2008

Terms expire on December 31, 2008, for two Tigard City Councilor positions. The regularly scheduled election for these positions is the November 4, 2008, General Election. Individuals elected to serve as Councilors will serve a four-year term from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012.

To file for candidacy, one must have been a Tigard resident for at least one year and be a registered voter. Filing and petition forms are available in the City Recorder's office at the Tigard City Hall, 13125 SW Hall Boulevard, Tigard, Oregon.

To qualify for nomination, a candidate must submit a petition signed by at least 20 City of Tigard registered voters and pay a $50 filing fee.

The deadline for filing for a Tigard City Councilor position is 4 p.m., August 25, 2008.
