Tigard Police Arrest Burglary Suspect The continued success of the Tigard Police Commercial Crimes Unit became evident earlier today when members of the special unit arrested a man alleged to have burglarized the Tigard Toys 'R Us store. Jarrod Miles Moore, 33, of Amity, OR was arrested by Tigard Police this morning without incident. The arrest warrant obtained by a Tigard Officer coincided with a search warrant for the residence of the suspect which was obtained by Medford Police. Officers from Tigard, Medford, and Lake Oswego Police Departments searched the home where Moore resided. Evidence implicating Moore to other burglaries was located and seized during the search. Moore is suspected of being involved in numerous burglaries throughout the state. Moore was identified as the primary suspect in the burglary of the Tigard Toys 'R Us store which occurred on March 23rd. Early that morning Tigard Police was dispatched to the business after a report of an alarm. A short time after the call was broadcast, a Tigard Officer patrolling nearby stopped Moore on suspicion of possibly being involved. At the time there was no evidence to detain Moore in connection with the burglary. At a later point, a search of the area along with the help of a police K9 track, officers recovered evidence and property taken in the burglary. Tigard Police recently learned that DNA obtained from some of the property recovered was identified as belonging to Moore. As a result, Moore was arrested on charges of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. He was transported and lodged in the Yamhill County Jail. The investigation which may link Moore to other statewide burglaries is continuing. |
