Tigard Man Dies From Self-Inflicted Gun Shot Wound
Tigard Police Officers were called to a home located at 7916 SW Bond St earlier this morning on a report of a man being shot. Police arrived within minutes and discovered that 32 year old Robert Sean Gillroy had been shot with a handgun. When police arrived at the home at about 4:00 a.m., approximately 10-15 people were inside. Statements to police indicated that a New Year's Eve party had been taking place at the location.

The victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital were he died a short time later. Witness statements and evidence obtained at the scene indicate that alcohol had likely played a role in events which led up to the shooting.

Tigard Police investigators will continue to investigate the shooting.
