Tigard Police Arrest Two Adult Vandals Overnight
Pinard and Bucey On December 12, 2007, just after midnight Tigard Police were sent to the Texaco Gas Station at 12885 S.W. Pacific Highway on a report that two subjects were observed by the attendant spray painting graffiti on the station's main office. The witness informed officers that when he confronted them, these subjects ran off from the area. Tigard Officers responded and located two adults in the area that met the descriptions provided by the attendant. Subsequent to an investigation that followed, Xavier C. Pinard of Portland (19 years old) and Derrick F. Bucey of Tigard (20 years old) were both arrested for Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, and later lodged at the Washington County Jail in Hillsboro.

Follow-up investigation revealed that these two subjects used spray paint to "tag" monikers and other vandalism to multiple businesses adjacent to S.W. Pacific Highway between S.W. McDonald and S.W. Johnson Streets, as well as along S.W. Main Street in Tigard. The costs to remove or repair the damage caused in this vandalism spree is estimated at this time to be in excess of $2500.00. Identified businesses affected will be contacted in the future to determine exact costs of the damage, and to ascertain what if anything else may have been "tagged" by these subjects.

Business owners in the area who were vandalized overnight are asked to contact Tigard Police at 503-629-0111 to report new graffiti found so the criminal cases against these two subjects can be accurately compiled for the district attorney's office to prosecute. Court dates for the two subjects has not been set at this time.
