Suspect in Tigard Area Fraud Investigation Arrested 
Frederick T Deiner, DOB 011275, of Portland was taken into custody by Portland Police Friday evening
on a warrant and charges stemming from a Tigard Police investigation. Both Tigard and Portland Police
have been attempting to locate Deiner for the past several weeks. Based on information developed,
Tigard Police believed Deiner was living at a motel along Barbur Blvd in Portland. Portland Police
spotted Deiner as he was leaving the location Friday night at about 10 pm. Deiner was then transferred
to the Tigard Police Department for processing. He was later transported and lodged at the Washington
County Jail in Hillsboro.Deiner is currently being held on charges of Forgery and Theft by Deception along with an unrelated felony warrant. Deiner is alleged to have been involved in an investigation stemming from numerous reports of altered or forged money orders and travelers check involving thousands of dollars occurring throughout the metro area including several in Tigard. Tigard Police is continuing their investigation. |
