Suspect in Tigard Murder Investigation Returned to Oregon
Updated November 28, 2007

The primary suspect in a Tigard homicide investigation was returned to Oregon late yesterday. 30 year old, Mikkal Kane Buxton of Portland, was extradited from the Washoe County Jail in Reno, Nevada where he has been held. Two Tigard Police Detectives flew to Reno on Monday to make arrangements to return Buxton to Oregon. They arrived back by air into Portland late Tuesday and transported the suspect to the Washington County Jail in Hillsboro.

Buxton was booked into jail on charges of Murder and will be awaiting arraignment. Buxton is alleged to have killed 21 year old Alla Bogdanov. The victim's body was discovered in a fire at the victim's family home on SW Greenfield Dr in Tigard on November 14th.

Suspect in Tigard Homicide Located In Reno
Tigard homicide suspect, Mikkal Buxton, DOB 041577, was taken into custody earlier today by Reno Police. A Reno officer acting on a hunch ran the license plate of the suspect's vehicle as it was traveling along a highway in Reno. Information returned to the officer indicated that the vehicle may have been associated with a homicide in Tigard, Oregon.

After stopping the vehicle, Buxton was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Washoe County Jail in Reno, Nevada. Buxton is being held on a warrant for murder. Two Tigard Police Detectives arrived in Reno this afternoon to further the investigation.

In the meantime, a memorial fund has been established for the family of the victim in Wednesday's homicide. People interested in donating money to help the family cope with both the emotional and financial burden can do so at any Washington Mutual branch. Donations can be made to the "Alla Bogdanov Memorial Fund."
