Suspect Arrested In Connection to Multiple Assault Investigations
Ronald Leistiko At approximately 7:00am this morning, ten Portland Police Bureau Drug and Vice Division investigators, along with several Tigard Police Officers conducted a search warrant at a home located at 12320 SW 128th Ave. in Tigard. The warrant came as a result of an extensive investigation involving both Portland and Tigard Police. The ongoing investigation stemmed from reports of numerous females who reported being assaulted at the Tigard location.

In addition to evidence obtained and seized from the home, the occupant, 52 year old Ronald M. Leistiko was arrested and taken into custody. Leistiko was at the center of the investigation which began earlier this year. Leistiko is alleged to have used "Craig's List" along with other internet locations to bring woman and young females to his home on SW 128th. Information obtained by a Portland Police Bureau detective ultimately revealed victims that alleged Leistiko arranged meetings at his Tigard home which ended with various degrees of assault including those sexual in nature. Information suggests that Leistiko used the internet to initiate the contacts which span the entire metro area.

Concurrent with Portland's investigation, Tigard Police Detectives had also been investigating reports of sexual assaults involving Leistiko at the Tigard address. Reports indicate that the victims range in age from 14 to 35 years of age.

Leistiko was lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges including 3 counts of Rape I, Kidnap I, Prostitution, multiple counts of Sex Abuse I, Menacing and Attempted Rape. In addition, 2 counts of Strangulation and Unlawful Sexual Penetration.

Investigators speculate there may be other unreported incidents which may have occurred at Leistiko's Tigard home. Anyone who may have information or possible involvement is urged to contact either Portland Police Bureau Detective C. Waddell at 503-823-0697 or Officer M. Burkeen at 503-823-0424. In addition, callers can also contact Tigard Police Detective Kevin Dresser at 503-718-2576. The Portland Police Bureau's Drug and Vice Division can also provide assistance. The number is 503-823-0246.
