Deadly House Fire Results in Homicide Investigation
Tigard Police Detectives, along with investigators with the Washington County Major Crimes Team are presently investigating a homicide at the scene of a house fire on SW Greenfield Dr. Tigard Police were called to the location at about 7:40 pm Wednesday evening and upon arrival observed smoke coming from the second floor of the home. Fire personnel from TVF&R arrived shortly after and suppressed the fire. During the course, a body was discovered in a second floor room.

Until positive identification can be made at an autopsy scheduled for later today, investigators believe the body is that of 21 year old Alla Bogdanov. Investigators learned that the likely victim occasionally resided at the family home, primarily while she attended school nearby. The home and scene of Wednesday's fire is presently listed for sale. The owners of the home and their family moved from the property earlier this year. The home sat vacant for most of the time.

Investigators have identified a person of interest in the homicide investigation. Police are currently attempting to locate 30 year old Mikkal Kane Buxton of SE Portland. Information obtained by investigators suggests Buxton was scheduled to meet with Bogdanov sometime on Wednesday at the Tigard home. Both have not been seen since. Buxton is believed to be driving a blue 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts or possibly has seen Buxton, they are urged to report the information immediately to police or contact 9-1-1.
