Photo Contest Deadline Approaching The City of Tigard is looking for photos that represent why this City is such a wonderful place to call home. And who better than you- those who live, work, or play in Tigard- to show us the people, places, and things that make it so great? November 1, 2007 is the last day photos will be accepted for the Citywide Photo Contest. All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. or postmarked by that date. Official contest rules and entry forms are available on line or at Tigard City Hall in the Permit Center. Photographs submitted should represent the photographer's interpretation of the contest theme "Tigard… a place I call home." Photographs may be submitted in the following categories: Tigard's People, Tigard's Places, Tigard's Landscape, Tigard's History, or Tigard's Wildlife and Pets. You do not have to be a Tigard Resident to enter the contest; however, photographs must be taken within City limits. Have fun and give us your best shot! The top photographs received will be put on exhibit at the Tigard Public Library. Each category winner will be presented a certificate of appreciation at a televised City Council meeting. Any or all entries may appear in the City of Tigard Comprehensive Plan. The grand prize winner will be chosen by votes from the community and will be featured on the front of the Plan. Please submit all entries to: Photo Contest, City of Tigard, Oregon, 13125 SW Hall Boulevard, Tigard, OR 97223 or drop them off at the Tigard City Hall Permit Center by November 1st. |
