Body Discovered Along Hwy 217 By Passing Motorist
At about 9:20 am August 2, Tigard Police was called to a location along the northbound side of Hwy 217 just under the Hall Blvd. overpass where a body of an adult white male was spotted. Tigard Police Detectives, along with investigators from the Washington County Sheriffs Office Major Crimes Team began to search for evidence and work to determine the possible cause of death.

Initially the cause of death was suspicious. However, later that morning police learned the identification of the deceased, a 67 year old Tigard resident. Information from a family member lead police to deduce the cause of death was not homicide, rather self-inflicted. Investigators concluded the investigation upon obtaining further details and information from the spouse regarding the deceased and surrounding circumstances.
