Police Arrest Suspect in Foxy's Robbery

Early Saturday morning at approximately 1:10 am Tigard Police Officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Foxy's, a lottery gaming business in Canterbury Square located at 14295 SW Pacific Hwy in Tigard. While a description of the suspect was obtained from witnesses, other officers set up a perimeter in an attempt to contain the suspect. A weapon was implied, but no weapon was ever observed. No injuries resulted in this incident.

A Hillsboro Police K-9 Officer was called to the scene to conduct a dog track. This track lead to a nearby neighborhood, but no suspect was located as a result of the track.

Officers were able to look at the business' closed circuit surveillance video and obtained a further description of the suspect. The video shows a female leave the business and have a conversation with a male who then enters the business and commits the offense.

As Tigard Police were in the area, a male and female that matched the suspect descriptions were located. Officers made contact with these two subjects and obtained statements from them which lead to the arrest of 41 year old Raymond A. Smith from Tigard.

Tigard Police Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. They will be comparing the robbery to others in the area.
