Tigard Man Arrested After Binge of Harassment and Assaults
Ronnie Nicholas, 26, of Tigard, was arrested by Tigard Police after he allegedly was involved a series of incidents throughout the early morning hours on Sunday. What began as an assault involving Nicholas near the intersection of 115th and Gaarde, later that night also turned to a report of a burglary and a possible domestic situation at a residence located at 8035 SW Thorn St. in Tigard. Nicholas was implicated in both incidents.

Officers responding to the Gaarde St location were quickly able to determine that the situation reported at the Thorn St. address may be connected. Ultimately police developed information from three males, including one juvenile, involved in an altercation with a man who later turned out to be Nicholas. The trio reported that a man assaulted them as they walked in the area of SW 115th and Fairview. Nicholas allegedly had physically assaulted two brothers in the ordeal. The incident may have been prompted by one of the males in the group gesturing to Nicholas as he drove by them.

The victims were able to provide a vehicle description and license plate. While police were enroute to check the location of the registered owner of the vehicle, police dispatchers alerted officers of a domestic disturbance at the same address. Police later learned that Nicholas had allegedly entered the home uninvited on Thorn St. and assaulted an occupant and left. Both men were acquaintances. During the ordeal, Nicholas had also damaged several walls and doors.

At about the same time, a Tigard Police Officer took Nicholas into custody after spotting him in his vehicle which was traveling along Steve St near 82nd. After processing at the Tigard Police Department, Nicholas was transported to the Washington County Jail to be lodged. He was charged with Burglary I, Criminal Mischief II, Assault IV, 2 Counts of Harassment and Criminal Mischief III.
