Update: Alleged Sexual Assault Was Fabricated (3/1/04)

Middle School Student Reports Being Sexually Assaulted
A fourteen year old female reported to police earlier today that she was sexually assaulted while enroute to Twality Middle School in Tigard, where she attends. The victim alleges that at approximately 8:30 AM (2/27/04) she was approaching the edge of the school property, near a stand of trees when she was assaulted. The incident was reported to have taken place near the north east section of school property, near a foot path that leads from 92nd Ave.

The victim alleged she was startled by the suspect, described as a white, male juvenile. Further description revealed he was wearing a red “FUBU” shirt with yellow lettering across the chest. He is described as approximately 15 years old or of “high school age.”

It was reported that the suspect grabbed the victim by the arms and pulled her towards the area of the trees and forced her to the ground. The victim reported being sexually assaulted. The victim reported the incident to staff at the school who contacted police. A parent took the child to an area hospital for evaluation.

Tigard Police are investigating the incident. Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to call Officer Eskew at 503-718-2558.
