Gunshot Fired During Tigard Home Robbery

Tigard Police are investigating a home robbery that occurred just before 8AM this morning. Police learned that two men forced their way into a home located at 13789 SW Ashbury Lane in Tigard. At the time of the incident, three children in ages ranging from 7 years to 12 years of age were in the home along with an adult female.

Police are investigating information that the intruders demanded money and items of value. One of the suspects produced a knife and cut a telephone wire. Additionally, a second suspect allegedly fired one shot from a handgun that he possessed. No one was injured. Shortly after, both suspects fled out the front door of the home and proceeded on foot north along Wilton Ave. A canine track in the neighborhood was conducted with negative results.

The Washington County Crime Lab is assisting with the processing of evidence at the scene. Witness information provided indicates the suspects may have used a white, full size sedan type of vehicle. Police are currently investigating all leads.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Tigard Police Det. Gary Wayt at 503-718-2577.
