Bull Mountain Annexation Coffee Talks
The first two Bull Mountain Annexation Coffee Talks have been held. The first one was held on Thursday, October 30, 2003 with Councilor Nick Wilson providing a general overview of the annexation and addressing questions. The second one was held November 5, 2003 with Councilor Sydney Sherwood. Additional Council members are scheduled to attend upcoming Coffee Talks. The Mayor and City Council have indicated that they are eager to meet with residents in these small informal group settings to hear the issues and concerns. The Council members are using these meetings, along with the open house on November 19th and the public hearing on December 2nd to listen to the Bull Mountain and Tigard residents prior to making their decision about whether to place the annexation plan on the ballot.

The next Coffee Talk will be held next week and is being hosted by a resident of Bull Mountain. If you are interested in hosting a Coffee Talk, contact Jerree Gaynor at 503-639-4171. Coffee Talks are small group gatherings of people interested in talking with a member or two from City Council about the potential annexation of Bull Mountain. The Coffee Talks are by invitation only from someone who is hosting an event. However, there is also a public open house that will be held at Twality Middle School on November 19th from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM for those who can not host or attend a Coffee Talk.
