Honors African American authors and illustrators.

Edgar Awards
For the Best Young Adult Mystery.

Michael L. Printz Award
For excellence in young adult literature.

National Book Award for Young People’s Literature
Awarded to those books that are outstanding.

YALSA Booklists and Book Awards
Young Adult Librarian across the country produce yearly lists of recommended books that include Popular Paperbacks, Quick Picks (books for those that don't like reading that much), the Alex Awards (Adult books for Young Adults), and Best Books.

Young Reader’s Choice Award
