Links on the Tigard Public Library website have been chosen by the Youth Services staff. When selecting web sites and internet resources for the links, the Tigard Public Library considers the source, content, cost and presentation of the information. These are general considerations; no one criterion should necessarily be used to override an otherwise useful web site or internet resource. Although suggestions of sites for inclusion on the Library�s web links are welcomed, the Youth Services staff retains the final decision on which links meet the following criteria.

Individuals or groups creating or sponsoring the site should be clearly stated or otherwise readily ascertained.
Consider the authority and/or level of expertise of the author(s) of a web site.
Subjects should reflect common information enquiries received at all service points.
The information on the site should be accurate and free of bias.
Web sites of advertisements for other goods and services will not be considered.
Web sites with local emphasis are considered with priority.
The library should not link to any sites that cost money to access or use.
