Join in the excitement as all of Tigard reads one
book in May!
The Tigard Library has selected Oregon author Nicole Mones' The Last Chinese Chef
as the subject of our first community-wide reading project. Tigard Reads brings
the community together in a shared experience: everyone reading one book. You're
invited to participate in Tigard Reads by reading the featured book, joining in
a book group discussion and attending a variety of free events. Complimentary
copies of the book will be distributed to Library card holders while supplies
last. Stop by to pick up your copy!

Attend a free performance of Chinese rod puppetry by master puppeteers Yuqin Wang and Zhengli Xu of Dragon Art Studio. Seldom seen in the United States, rod puppetry is an ancient art form revered throughout China. The puppeteers of Dragon Art Studio in Tigard blend puppetry and music with elegance, humor and special effects to create a fascinating theatrical event for the whole family.
