Take It Outside!
Sunday, September 7 • 1:30-3 p.m. • Library Gazebo • All ages
School may have started, but who says we can't still enjoy some time outdoors! We'll provide equipment, tools and materials to explore and play. You can bring your imagination and ideas. If it rains too hard, we'll just move the fun inside to the Burgess Community Room.


The Physical Comedy of Henrik Bothe
Tuesday, September 9 • 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Burgess Community Room • All ages
Henrik will keep the whole family riveted and laughing with his antics, including plate spinning and juggling atop a six-foot unicycle!


Flight School
Saturday, September 20 • 1:30-2:30 p.m. • Puett Room • All ages
Grownups: Foster your children's engineering instincts and encourage them to test the principles of flight with their own aerodynamic creations. Kids: Make your own wooden flyer; fold fancy paper airplanes to your heart's desire, and send them soaring!


LEGO® Construction Zone
Sundays: September 28, October 26 and November 23 • 1:30-3 p.m. • Puett Room • Ages 5 and up
Future engineers and mathematicians! Drop in to work on your LEGO® creations with other builders and give our race track a spin. We'll supply the building blocks; you bring your creativity.


PlayFoam Sculpture
Sunday, October 5 • 1:30-2:30 p.m. • Puett Room • All ages
Become a sculptor! Start with satisfyingly squishy PlayFoam, then add chenille sticks, googly eyes, feathers and much more. Take your creation home to display or re-design!


Hobey Ford's Golden Rod Puppets Presents: Migration
Tuesday, October 7 • 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Burgess Community Room • First grade and up
This spectacular puppet show tells the story of Beatriz, a girl from Mexico, whose journey follows the migration of the monarch butterfly. Beatriz finds her home in the world through the stories of animals who must migrate to survive.


Star Wars Reads Day
Saturday, October 11 • 2-4 p.m. • Burgess Community Room • All ages
Two years ago in a library not far, far away we celebrated Star Wars Reads Day for the first time. You can join the party once again with games, crafts, trivia, prize drawings and The Clone Wars on the big screen. We encourage costumes and photo-ops with members of Cloud City Garrison (a legion of dedicated fans with film-authentic costumes).


Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos
Sunday, November 2 • 1:30-2:30 p.m. • Burgess Community Room • All ages
Celebrate and remember loved ones who have passed on. Listen to stories, make mini altars and skeleton puppets, decorate sugar skulls and make tissue paper marigolds. Enjoy hot cocoa and pan de muerto, too!


Dia de los Muertos
Domingo, 2 de noviembre • 1:30-2:30 p.m. • Burgess Community Room • Para todas las edades
Celebremos y recordemos a los seres queridos que han fallecido. Van a escuchar cuentos, hacer mini altares y titeres de esqueletos, decorar calaveras de azucar y hacer calendulas de papel de seda. !Podran disfrutar de chocolate caliente y pan de muerto, tambien!


Angel Ocasio Presents: Komedy 4 da Kids
Tuesday, November 4 • 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Burgess Community Room • All ages
This high-energy, one-man variety show combines comedy, jokes, juggling and magic from master physical comedian Angel Ocasio. Experience an interactive show full of hilarious antics!


iPad Apps & Little Kids
Saturday, November 15 • 10:30 a.m.-Noon • Puett Room • For parents and children ages 2-6
Touch-screen technology has made screen time interactive. What can your child learn using a touch-screen device? This workshop will give an overview of current research along with some guidelines for identifying the best apps out there. Preloaded iPads will be available for testing apps. Registration required. International Games Weekend

Games are taking over the library! Bring your friends or the whole family and play self-service board games, card games and more.


Mega Crafts Workshop
