2008 Summer Reading Program: Story Times

Story Times
 
Story Times All Story Times are FREE and take place in the Puett Room, except where noted. Punctual arrival helps everyone enjoy these “short and sweet” programs to the fullest. Thank you for your efforts to arrive on time!



Preschool Story Time
Ages 3 – 6 years
Mondays, June 16 – August 18
10:30 – 11:15 a.m.
Puett Room

Longer stories, music and fun interactive activities will be used to explore and develop the six basic early literacy skills essential for blossoming readers.



Fun for Ones
Ages 12 – 24 months
Tuesdays, June 17 – August 19
10:30 – 11 a.m. AND 11:30 am – Noon (2 sessions)
Puett Room

Join us as we sing, rhyme, share simple stories and enjoy movement activities in this story time especially designed for new walkers and their grown-ups! Stay and play after the program. Please note: In order to provide a beneficial experience, the number of participants will be limited to the first 20 children for each session.



Pajama Story Time
Ages 0 – 6 years
Tuesdays, June 17 – August 19
7 – 7:30 p.m.
Puett Room

Wear your jammies to the library for books and more “good night” fun. Don’t forget to bring your favorite grown-up and teddy bear!



Toddler Time
Ages 24 – 36 months
Wednesdays, June 18 – August 20
10:30 – 11 a.m. AND 11:30 a.m. – Noon (2 sessions)
Puett Room

Explore basic literacy concepts and group skills activities designed to appeal to toddlers. Be ready to wiggle! Please note: In order to provide a beneficial experience, the number of participants will be limited to the first 20 children for each session.



Book Babies
Ages 0 – 12 months
Thursdays, June 19 – August 21
10:30 – 11 a.m.
Puett Room

Babies and their grown-ups are invited to share nursery rhymes, finger plays, songs and a simple book while making new friends and developing early literacy skills! Stay and play after the program.



Lunch Time Story Time
All Ages
Thursdays, June 19 – August 21
Noon – 12:30 p.m.
Library Gazebo

Bring a brown bag lunch and munch while you listen to great stories! This story time will take place in the gazebo behind the library, weather permitting.



Hora de Cuentos para la Familia – Spanish Story Time
JUEVES de 6:00 a 6:30 PM (Thursdays, 6 – 6:30 p.m.)
