Memorial Books
The Tigard Library welcomes donations to purchase memorial
books in honor of friends and relatives who have passed away. Donors may specify purchases for the
Adult, Young Adult or Children's collections and request a particular area of interest.
Library staff can also recommend appropriate titles or subject areas.
A memorial bookplate with the names of both the person to be honored and the donor will be placed
in the books. The donor may remain anonymous if he/she wishes. If the donor consents, designated
family and friends of the deceased will be notified of the gift.
Gift Books
Looking for a unique way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary,
graduation or other special occasion? Consider making a contribution to purchase a gift
book for the Library in honor of a friend or loved one.
You may choose to purchase a book for either the Adult, Teen, Children's or Reference areas. Library
staff will be happy to recommend appropriate titles or subject areas or you can request a specific
area of interest.
A bookplate will be placed in the book(s) with the names of both the person being honored and the
donor or the donor may remain anonymous. At the donor's request, designated family and friends
will be notified of the gift.
